Dubai Flight Stopped On Runway In Possible Case Of Mistaken Identity

May 6, 2010

New York (ChattahBox) – A few days after the arrest of an attempted car bomber in Times Square, a Emirates flight was brought back to the gate this morning in a case that police are now saying may have been a mistaken identity.

According to reports, at least one person tipped off custom officials who then called for the plane to be called back from the runway.

Another report said one man and one woman were involved in the problem, and that both were spoken to upon returning to the JFK gate.

There is a possibility that the person(s) were on a Customs and Borders Protection list, which was mistaken as a blacklist for no-flight.

Officials are reportedly in the process of clearing takeoff.

The alleged mistake shows that the new policy changes of testing names against no-fly lists are theoretically being followed, despite the error.
