60 Kidnapped In Mass Pakistan Abduction By Militants

May 15, 2010

Pakistan (ChattahBox) – Militants stormed through the north-west tribal region of Pakistan today, kidnapping at least 60 people in a massive abduction.

The people were driving, and their cars were ambushed by the militants along the road.

No responsibility has been claimed by any specific group for the attack, but details stating that the insurgents were wearing police uniforms has been released.

It is believed that the group took the hostages specifically for ransom, given the random nature of the victims.

Among those victims are women and several children, a less common occurrence than the usual male dissenters of militant rule in the region.

Authorities are now searching for the whereabouts of the sixty people.
