Accused Serial Killer Gives Himself The Name “Crossbow Cannibal”
May 28, 2010
Stephen Griffiths, a 40-year-old PhD student at the University of Bradford, is believed to have been responsible for the deaths of Suzanne Blamires (36), Shelley Armitage (31), and Susan Rushworth (43).
Studying for a history PhD, Griffiths is described as being ‘odd’ by neighbors, who knew him as a man who regularly hung around with the prostitutes at the local red light district.
He often told people he was studying Jack the Ripper for a PhD in murder.
His odd habits begin to pain a picture of a bizarre, disturbed man who may have let those fantasies come to life in the deaths of three prostitutes, and his given name gives some insight into the possible causes of death of the women. Details the police have not yet released.
