Joran Van Der Sloot Confesses: ‘I Grabbed Her by the Neck and Hit Her’

(ChattahBox)—Joran van der Sloot confessed to killing Stephany Flores, 21, in his Lima, Peru hotel room, during a police interrogation, say Peruvian authorities. Van der Sloot, 22, said that Flores peeked into his laptop computer and discovered his connection to the disappearance of an American woman. He became enraged and a struggle ensued. He broke Flores’ neck. Her battered body was found in the hotel room two-days later, after van der Sloot fled the country to Chile. Natalie Holloway’s family members are now on alert, hoping that van der Sloot will finally reveal the location of her body in Aruba.
According to La Republica newspaper, van der Sloot resented Flores’ intrusion into his privacy. “I did not want to do it. The girl intruded into my private life… she didn’t have any right,” he is quoted as saying. “I went to her and I hit her. She was scared, we argued and she tried to escape. I grabbed her by the neck and hit her,” said van de Sloot to police interrogators.
Van de Sloot reportedly confessed to the murder for a reduced sentence, after being transported from Chile to the Peruvian capital:
“After a 17-hour journey up the Pan-American Highway from Chile in a police caravan Saturday, the young Dutchman was paraded, sheathed in bulletproof vest and handcuffed, before reporters at criminal police headquarters in Lima. He was then submitted to an initial interrogation. A judge subsequently granted prosecutors’ request to extend van der Sloot’s preliminary detention order seven more days, said Gamboa, the national police spokesman.”
Joran van der Sloot faces 35-years in a Peruvian prison for Flores’ murder. And there is still the peculiar federal extortion charge pending in Alabama, in which he reportedly sought $250,000 from Natalie Holloway’s family in exchange for the location of her body and the details of her death. But it’s unlikely van der Sloot would ever be extradited to face the lesser charges.
Ricardo Flores, a prominent politician and race car driver, believes van der Sloot has killed numerous other women, besides his daughter. He told ABC News that van der Sloot’s laptop “contains valuable information that may lead to more of Joran’s victims.”
