Fidel Castro Will Appear on Television and Radio After Long Public Absence
July 12, 2010
Cuba (ChattahBox) – After four years spent in seclusion, following an intestinal illness, Fidel Castro is set to appear on Cuban television. It will be his second public appearance in a week, after he visited a scientific center in Havana.
Castro has remained out of the gaze of the people since his illness in 2006, which led to an emergency surgery, and the relinquishing of his leadership to his brother, Raul, in 2008.
According to Reuters, Castro has been writing for ‘Reflections’, providing opinion articles a few times a month. He has recently been expounding on the theory that we are headed for a global nuclear war.
He says that he believes that the conflict between Iran and ‘The Empire” (his reference to the United States) will soon come to a head in an international nuclear attack.
Castro is expected to speak about this, and his believed values within communism, on his appearances on Monday.
