Al Qaeda plot involving European attacks uncovered

September 29, 2010

(ChattahBox News) – Western intelligence sources reported that they have discovered a plot by terrorist organization Al Qaeda involving coordinated attacks in Germany, the United Kingdom and France. Terrorists were to be deployed in small groups and seized hostages whom they would murder. The operation style was said to be similar to the attacks that took place in 2008 in Mumbai.

Intelligence officials are convinced that the whole plan was crafted by Al Qaeda leaders residing in the more tribal areas of Pakistan.  In the attempt to scare the militants, various sources claimed that early United States drone attacks in the area may have taken out the planners.  Frank Gardner, the security correspondent of BBC, stated that what we’re witnessing is a transition from an actual aspiration to definitive and decisive actions.  Western Security Agencies were hoping to keep a lid on this story while they continued to investigate, but the story was apparently leaked by unknown sources.
