Romania’s Witches Unleash Dog Poop Spells on Leaders
January 6, 2011
(ChattahBox World News)— It’s always the season of the witch in Romania. And if you know what’s good for you, don’t piss them off and subject yourself to their curses and spells made from dead animals and excrement. It’s already too late for the president of Romania, Traian Basescu, who unleashed a witch uprising after declaring that self-employed witches now have to pay taxes. The nation’s witches, and there are quite a few in this superstitious country, have scheduled a protest along the Danube River on Thursday. The covens of angry witches plan to cast spells and curses on President Basescu and other leaders. But Basescu is one step ahead of these cackling witches with their warts and mandrake root. He has invoked the protection of the “Violet Flame” by dressing in purple attire, which acts as a Teflon shield against evil curses. Good to know.
In a country that is home to Gypsies and long used to tales of vampires, witches fighting the tax man with curses and hexes should come as no surprise. Still, the next time you lament America’s at times, bizarre political discourse, at least we don’t have to deal with angry witches— deranged tea party members, yes. But as far as I know teapartiers haven’t yet figured out how to cast spells on liberals.
“As of January 1, witches — along with astrologers, fortune tellers, valets and models — are officially named in the classification of professional trades, which means they may eventually have to declare their income and pay taxes on it.”
“The new laws are part of the government’s effort to “prevent and combat tax evasion,” according to a statement on the government’s website.”
But the witches and other members of supernatural professions are not happy about the new taxes.
Romania’s Realitatea TV interviewed witch Bratara Buzea, who vowed to curse government officials with a spell using dog poop.
“If you give something, you got to get back something. It’s not the state who taught us witchcraft. There’s no school where you can learn witchcraft.”
“If witches are forced to pay income taxes, Buzea said, they will cast a curse on lawmakers.”
“It’s a little spell made of some dog feces together with a little pinch of soil and black pepper,” she said.
Meanwhile, President Basescu and other government officials will seek the protection of the “Violet Flame,” and wrap themselves in all things purple.
