India Steps Up To Create New Auto Industry In The US

US (ChattahBox) – India-based Mahindra & Mahindra, an automotive company already well established in the United States for tractor sales, has announced plans to release a series of compact trucks, as well as two types of SUV, in the US.

One of the largest manufacturers of tractors globally, Mahindra & Mahindra are also high sellers in India’s SUV market, which they hope to bring to the US in a time of failing auto companies in a worldwide recession.

Their new compact trucks are already expected to be a huge competitor against Ford and Toyota, after their unique design was tailored to sell to American consumers.

“The pickup market is one of the most challenging to enter, since the loyalty to Detroit products in this segment is high,” USB Financial Services analyst Colin Langan was quoted in Time.

But with the auto industry in shambles a dire need for new blood has been felt all over the country, and global markets are finding it a key opportunity to step up their game. This is especially true of diesel products, which are expected to do very well in a more environmentally concerned society, as it is cleaner burning, and more fuel efficient.

The new truck lines are expected to be released sometime next year, with a price tag of $20,000 – $30,000. No official names have been released.
