Zuckerburg may have promised 84% of Facebook to NY man

July 22, 2010

(Chattahbox) Buffalo – A Wellsville man claims that Mark Zuckerburg promised him ownership of 84% of Facebook 7 years ago.

Paul Ceglia hired Zuckerburg via Craigslist to create some street-mapping software for him in 2003. ¬†After the project was finished, Ceglia funded Mark’s “Face Book” project on the condition that he would receive 50% of the profits, along with 1% extra for every day the project went past its deadline (January 1st, 2004).

Zuckerburg’s lawyer, Lisa Simpson said she was “unsure” that Zuckerburg signed the contract, and his legal team is attempting to get the case thrown out of court. ¬†They claim the contract is inconsistent and non-sensical in some places.

The attorneys have agreed to come up with a filing schedule before August 6th.
