Couple holds their wedding at Taco Bell (Video)

January 12, 2009

(ChattahBox) — Here’s a new place to consider for your catered wedding. Caragh Brooks, 21, of Australia, met Paul Brooks, 30,  decided they wanted their wedding bells rang at at a Taco Bell in Normal, Illinois this past weekend because their relationship has always been kind of weird and they like spending time there. They met on a dating website while Caragh was living in Australia. The couple wrote back and forth and talked on the phone for nine months before Caragh moved to the US.

The bride wore a hot pink $15 dress. They decorated the joint with balloons and streamers. The employees wore hot sauce packets with the words “Will You Marry Me?” on them. The Taco Bell didn’t even close for a couple of hours while the wedding was going on. So while they were exchanging their vows, customers were ordering Nachos and Tacos. It’s actually kind of fitting. Several dozen guests looked on as the couple’s friend, Ryan Green of Normal, administered the vows while wearing a T-shirt. He was ordained online. The whole wedding cost around $200. Caragh doesn’t even have to change her last name, because her sir name was already Brooks.
