Woman Gives Birth To Baby Two Days After Death

January 12, 2009

UK (ChattahBox) – Jayne Soliman, the 1980’s championship ice skater, died of a brain hemorrhage, caused by an unknown tumor hitting a blood vessel. Two days later, she gave birth to a healthy little girl, Aya Jayne.

Soliman was pronounced dead upon arrival at the hospital, following her collapse in her bedroom. But doctors were able to keep her heart beating long enough to deliver her baby girl by use a caesarean section. Aya is said to be doing fine.

Her devastated best friend, David Phillips, was with her and her husband when Soliman passed away, a huge shock, as no one had had any idea that she had an aggressive tumor.

“She was so happy, she had always wanted to be a mum more than anything else,” an emotional Phillips told reporters. “She lived to have a baby girl – that was the one thing she wanted in her life.”
Aya, who was born a tiny 2 lbs. 1 ½ ounces, is currently in the ICU of the Royal Berkshire Hospital, but is doing well, and doctors say she will make a full recovery.
