January 15, 2009

Texas (ChattahBox) – A man who was expecting a new tool set he had previously ordered was forced to contact police after a UPS delivered package containing 30 pounds of marijuana arrived in it’s place.

The man, who’s name is not being given, received the package Monday evening, and upon opening it found $10,000 worth of pot. He called police immediately, and an investigation into it’s origins have been launched.

According to Officer Ryan Grelle, one of the first on the scene, the package had been sent by UPS to the Denton home by mistake. Originally intended for a Dallas based address, when it was found not to exist, the package was sent to the next city over that contained the same street name and numbers, in the case Denton, 40 miles to the Northwest.

No more details have been released.
