Robber Arrested After Showing Up To Take Police Exam

March 1, 2009

California (ChattahBox) – A man who robbed a California Kmart showed true dedication to pursuing his dreams, when he showed up to take a police entry examination in the same town he had fled for the robbery.

Romeo Montillano had run to Las Vegas after stealing a TV, DVD player, and phone from a local Kmart in the town, but had signed up for the police exam two months prior. Detectives didn’t believe he would dare to show up, but wound up in the station, on time to take the exam.

While the detectives were stunned, they took him into an office, where he was arrested. Montillano asked if he could still take the exam, to which the cops replied that no, he could not. He then asked if he could reapply, to which he was also told he couldn’t.

He is being held on $110,000 bail.

This is the funniest thing ever. Definitely the biggest bonehead move.
