Block Of Ice Demolishes Kitchen, May Have Been From Plane

November 19, 2009

Colorado (ChattahBox) – A block of ice that fell through the roof of a woman’s house and demolished her kitchen may have come from a plane, it is believed.

The FAA will be running tests and simulations to try to pinpoint the exact plane that sent the ice hurtling into the home of Danelle Hagan, leaving her kitchen in shambles, and her home covered in asbestos, leaving it uninhabitable.

“If we had been in that kitchen just a couple of minutes before that…it would have been devastating,” Hagan said, explaining that she and her 9-year-old daughter had just left the room, having finished breakfast.

The FAA will be setting up a number of mathematical simulations to ascertain the trajectory of the plane flying over her home, in order to find which craft the ice may have come from.

However, it won’t be an easy task. Everything from the speed of the plane, to the ferocity of the wind, could make a huge impact on finding out the ice’s source.

In the meantime, Hagan has kept the ice fragments in her freezer as evidence.
