Man Sues Neighbor Over ‘Electronic Allergy’

January 19, 2010

New Mexico (ChattahBox) – A man has sued his neighbor after she refused to turn off some of the devices that he says activates his severe allergy to electromagnetic waves.

According to Arthur Firstenberg, his neighbor Raphaela Monribot has an iPhone she keeps on at all times, a WiFi network, and a computer she always has on.

His court document states that the electromagnetic waves transfer through their houses, as they share utilities, their homes only being 25 feet away.

“Within a day of [Monribot] moving in, I began to feel sick when I was in my house,” Firstenberg said in his official affidavit, which was filed and assigned to District Judge Daniel Sanchez.

“The electric meter for my house is mounted on [Monribot’s] house. Electromagnetic fields emitted in [Monribot’s] house are transmitted by wire directly into my house.”

He alleges that Monribot knows of his EMS, which has been backed by a number of doctors with notes in the lawsuits file, and has “flatly refused” to make any changes.

In the meantime he has been sleeping in his car to get away from the sickness the EMS causes.

Whether the EMS is physical or psychological is hard to say.

Neither people named int he lawsuit would speak about the matter.
