Warner Bros Sues For Harry Potter Condom Packaging

August 20, 2010

(ChattahBox) – This was one of the best stories of the day. Warner Bros is suing a Swiss condom company called Magic X, who have been selling rubbers with packaging that allegedly infringes on the Harry Potter franchise.

According to the Telegraph, Warner Bros is accusing the condom makers of selling packaging that resembles Harry Potter, specifically the movies.

“Our product has nothing to do with Harry Potter,” the makers responded, with what is one of the funniest things ever said about condoms since they were made.

While I am not one to stand behind Warner Bros, one of the most money hungry companies ever to exist in Hollywood, I think I have to say I agree with them.

Now only does the package feature a condom in glasses and waving a magic wand, but underneath it says ‘Harry Popper’. The idea that that is some major coincidence is so remarkably absurd that these guys must have hired a first year culinary student as their attorney.

The studio is seeking a cease and desist order, saying that the brand hurts the image of the franchise.

Don’t worry, WB! From the look of the package, they are ribbed for more pleasure!
