Swingers vs Nudists: French Traditional Naturalists Angry Over Swappers

September 24, 2010

France (ChattahBox Weird News) – Anger over an influx of swingers in what was once a traditional nudist area of France has increased, and naturalists are calling on the mayor to do something about it.

Cap d’Agde has long since been known as the “Naked City”, due to a large number of traditional nudists that live in certain, designated areas of the town. But the tone of that community has changed as groups dedicated to a more sexual practice move into the area.

Over the last few years there has been a major increase in people having sex in public, and having partner swap parties being hosted in hotels around the city, the Telegraph has reported. This has caused a lot of tension between the two groups, even leading to two cases of arson two years ago.

“When the sun shines, there is an area of Cap d’Agde which turns into the European capital of free sex,” local council leader Florence Denestebe said recently.

While the mayor of the town agrees something must be done, he says he is at a loss as to how to further separate the two groups before tensions once again spark violence in the region.

Cap d’Agde has been a naturist resort for very many years and although there has probably always been a certain level of sexual activity – just as there is anywhere in the world – it has been discreet, as you would expect it to be. The present problem is caused by some selfish ill-mannered people who wish to shove it in people’s faces and thereby spoil the family atmosphere of the resort. All we are saying is consider others and stop spoiling the place for those families that do not want this.

Imagine the furore if a threesome with loads of S&M gear where to start having sex in your local supermarket! There would be a public outcry and they would be arrested (there are laws against it). It is just as unwelcome at a naturist resort (there are no laws against non-sexual nudity in most European countries).

No-on wants it in the local supermarket and naturists don’t want it in a naturist resort – it is not naturism!
