Syesha Voted Out, Davids To Battle In American Idol Finale

It was the final results show before the finale of American Idol, with Syesha Mercado, David Cook, and David Archuleta all fighting for the final two spots and the right to perform on the big stage next week. All three performed well on Tuesday night with some interesting song selections to say the least. David Archuleta performed a song from Billy Joel, as well as Chris Brown’s With You, and closed it out with Longer.

Syesha Mercado sang Alicia Keys’ If I Ain’t Got You, as well as Hit Me Up and Fever.

David Cook was the highlight of the night on Tuesday with three quality songs, including a great closing song with Aerosmith’s I Don’t Want To Miss A Thing.

Only two can make it to the finale next week though, and the job inform them of who those two were belonged to none other than Ryan Seacrest.

Seacrest hyped up all night just how close the votes are, stating it was the closest race yet with 56 million votes.

The first one out to see Seacrest was David Archuleta. Following a video piece on his day in his hometown. Syesha was out next, followed by David Cook.

The results were read, with David Archuleta and David Cook going to the American Idol finale, Syesha was voted out.
