Fox is hoping that this new plan, called “remote-free TV” will keep people from changing the channel during shows.

Fox believes this will allow the focus to go back on the viewers. The first show, Fringe, was produced by J.J. Abrams and will kick off with a two-hour premiere in August.

The second project, Dollhouse, is set for Janaury.

The idea is to have less commercials, less prommotional time, and no reason for viewers to change the channel.

Fox hopes to change the way television viewing is done with this new approach.
