A Los Angeles jury handed down the guilty verdict on Thursday to Pellicano.

He was found guilty on more than 75 charges which he was facing.

The expectation is that he will be sentenced to a prison term which will last the rest of his life.

The jury had to deliberate for around two weeks before coming out with the guilty verict.

He was found guilty of setting up wire taps on phone lines of people to find out information.

He would then use this information and sell it to clients.

The case was filled with many high-profile celebrities and other big names. The sentence should come before the end of 2008.
