Syesha Happy After Being Voted Off American Idol

American Idol contestant Syesha Mercado took part in an interview after being voted off of the singing competition this past week.  She stated she is happy and at peace following the end of her run.Hollywood (ChattahBox) – American Idol contestant Syesha Mercado took part in an interview after being voted off of the singing competition this past week. She stated she is happy and at peace following the end of her run.

She spoke of herself, stating that she is always a “hard worker” and one that is “always rehearsing.”

She also spoke about David Archuleta and David Cook, the two who will face off in the Idol finale.

She stated “Archuleta has the beautiful smile and really good connection with kids.”

“Cook has that connection with the younger audience, the girls go crazy over him, and the older audience too, because he’s really charming.”

She considers herself as a mis between a “black Christina Aguilera / Alicia Keys.”

In the end the important thing is that Syesha stated she is “very happy,” and “at peace.”

    I really enjoyed following Syesha’s journey on Idol. I liked her best among the ladies and am so glad that she was the last lady standing! She has great potential and I definitely believe the show/tour will not be the last we see of her. Best of luck in the future Syesha.
