Nearly 3,000 visitors had to be herded out of the zoo as Bruno managed to roam freely for nearly 20 minutes.

The keepers at the zoo managed to track down Bruno before he managed to make it to any public areas or get close to any of the visitors.

Reports state that Bruno, following his escape through a hole in the wire fencing, simply hid behind his pen.

Keepers quickly sedated Bruno, controlling him. They then carried him to his bedroom where he rested and is now doing just fine.

This followed an incident last year when a tiger escaped from the San Francisco Zoo, killing one man.
