Chesney Wins Entertainer Of The Year At ACM Awards

Kenny Chesney took home the Entertainer of the Year award at the Academy of Country Music awards for the fourth-straight year on Sunday night in Las Vegas...Nashville (ChattahBox) – Kenny Chesney took home the Entertainer of the Year award at the Academy of Country Music awards for the fourth-straight year on Sunday night in Las Vegas.

Kenny Chesney received the honor, which was voted on for the very first time by fans.

He stated “This one is really actually special because, long before I had a hit record, the fans always came to the shows and I want to thank you guys for voting and for being there for me. I’m honored to be up here for the fourth year in a row. God bless y’all. Thank you so much.”

Chesney beat out some big names in country music, including Brad Paisley, Rascal Flatts, Keith Urban, and George Strait.

Many other big awards were given out on Sunday night in Las Vegas.

Taking home the top male vocalist award was Brad Paisley, with Carrie Underwood taking the top female vocalist.

In terms of top vocal group, the Rascal Flatts beat out the competition.
