Scarlett Johansson’s Debut Album Slammed By Critics

May 20, 2008

Scarlett Johansson has made the move to launch her musical career with the release of her debut album, Boston (ChattahBox) – Scarlett Johansson has made the move to launch her musical career with the release of her debut album, “Anywhere I Lay My Head.” Unfortuantely for her though, the album has been getting some extremely mixed responses from both critics and fans who have heard it.

Johansson has been hit with a lot of criticism from many critics since the debut of the album.

Some critics went as far as to say that there was no way to tell it was even her voice, considering how much it was mixed in the studio.

The album is filled with cover songs from Tom Waits, along with some original tracks. Critics have praised her in spots for her effort, as it is clear that a lot of thought and work did not into the making of the album.

It appears, based on the response thus far, that Johansson may have been better of remaining as simply a Hollywood actress.

It should be interesting to see how the album does at retail, and if Johansson makes the decision to actually go on the road and book shows to further pursue her musical career.
