The jury has now begun deliberations for the R. Kelly child pornography trial.

Closing statements were finished up on Thursday, June 12, allowing the jury to begin to deliberate.

The major topic of the case was a videotape in question which allegedly showed R. Kelly having sex with a teenage girl which could have been as young as 13-years old.

Cook County Prosecutor Robert Hellingoetter showed the video to the jury once more before finishing up his closing arguments.

He insisted that R. Kelly went after these young girls, and was the man on the tape.

Defense for R. Kelly, led by Sam Adams Jr. focused on the idea that R. Kelly was not the man on the videotape in question.

R. Kelly is charged with 14 counts of videotaping himself having sex with a girl who is underaged.

The 41-year old faces up to 15 years in prison if convicted.
