Last year, the Disney film Enchanted managed to take 3 of the 5 nominations in the category of original song.

The same thing happened back in 2007 with Dreamgirls.

Things are going to change though as they are going to limit the number of nominations in the original song category to 2 per film.

In terms of the foreign language film nominations, 3 of the 9 finalists are now going to be chosen by a committee.

Before, all 9 films were chosen by the members of the academy.

The changes are going to go into effect for the 2009 Oscars.
