June 21, 2008

Martha Stewart has been banned from making a trip to the UK by the UK Border Agency.Hollywood (ChattahBox) – Martha Stewart has been banned from making a trip to the UK by the UK Border Agency.

The UK Border Agency stated that they would not allow her entry into the UK due to the fact that she has a criminal record.

According to reports, this is standard policy as authorities do not allow entry to anyone with a record of any kind.

You would have to figure they would make an exception for Martha Stewart though right? Wrong!

Martha Stewart, who was convicted in 2004 of lying to investigators about the sale of stock, has already served 5 months in jail but has been free for quite some time now.

The trip to Britain was to visit the Royal Academy of Arts in London. She was also going to meet with a variety of people.

She has been denied a vsia though, and will not be allowed in the UK anytime soon.
