Boy George has been banned from performing in the U.S. as he has been denied a visa..Washington (ChattahBox) – Boy George has been banned from performing in the U.S. as he has been denied a visa.

Boy George had a tour planned in the U.S. to do a series of shows, but that does not appear to be happening anytime soon.

Immigration officials in the U.S. have denied a visa to Boy George, meaning the former Culture Club singer won’t be able to get here for the shows.

The 47-year old Boy George, real name George O’Dowd, had a performance set up in New York, which would have been a free show.

This comes following a 2006 event where he was ordered to clean the streets of New York as community service. This came after pleading guilty to falsely reporting a burglary.

Boy George was set to kick off his tour on July 10 in the U.S.
