Clooney wrote in the latter that both sides are right, but that “AFTRA feels that a work stoppage would be devastating to its members, and SAG believes that if they don’t draw a line in the sand, the studios will repeat what they did with DVDs.”

This is the first time George Clooney has come out and spoken about the contract talks between the the unions and the Alliance of Motion Picture & Television Producers.

Since then, many other high profile celebrities such as Tom Hanks have come out to speak their thoughts as well.

The biggest suggestion George Clooney had was actually quite an interesting one. He stated that the unions should being in 10 A-list workers such as Jack Nicholson and others.

He stated to bring in “10 people that the studio heads don’t say no to, who can bring in SAG and AFTRA data and adjust pay for the actors.”
