Letterman and Jay Leno have been rivals on the light night scene for years, but it is coming to an end in a matter of months.

David Letterman was involved in an interview with Rolling Stone recently, and was asked about the NBC decision to replace Jay Leno with Conan O’Brien.

He stated “I don’t know ahy, after the job Jay has done for them, why they would relinquish that.  I guess they thought it was a less messy way to handle what happened to me at NBC. I don’t know.”

Letterman, like many others, are scratching their head as to why they would replace Leno, who has been very successful over the years.
