Warner Bros. has not confirmed any exact release date as of yet, but the plan is to re-release The Dark Knight in January.

To date, The Dark Knight is the No.2  movie of all-time in terms of how much it has raked in at the box office.

The film has already taken in $512 million, and stands behind only the Titanic, which managed to top $600 million.

The re-release of The Dark Knight will come as a final push for Oscar season.

There is no word as of yet as to how wide of a release the film is going to get in its second run.

Many Dark Knight fans hope that Oscars are in the future though for Christian Bale, Heath Ledger, and Christopher Nolan.
