Sex and the City author Candace Bushnell has signed a deal to write two new novels, which will be prequels that are aimed at the teen crowd........Washington (ChattahBox) – Sex and the City author Candace Bushnell has signed a deal to write two new novels, which will be prequels that are aimed at the teen crowd.

Candace Bushnell has signed the deal to write two new Carrie Bradshaw novels for young adults.

The books are going to be set during the time when Carrie Bradshaw was in high school.

They are going to be published by HarperCollins Children’s Bray and Bray, and will release in the fall of 2010.

This is yet another attempt to keep the Sex and the City brand alive, as the movie over the summer managed to bring in $55.7 million in its opening weekend alone.

The film ended up making $152.6 million, and proved to top every single estimate out there.
