DreamWorks, Universal Ink Major Movie Distribution Deal

DreamWorks, which is headed up by Steven Spielberg and Stacey Snider, has reached a major distribution deal with Universal Studios.......Washington (ChattahBox) – DreamWorks, which is headed up by Steven Spielberg and Stacey Snider, has reached a major distribution deal with Universal Studios.

The two sides have agreed to a seven-year deal that will feature as many as six movie releases in each of those seven years.

This means that Universal Studios could be putting out a total of 42 DreamWorks films over the course of the deal.

DreamWorks has agreed to pay Universal Studios a distribution fee of 8% as per the term so fthe deal.

This comes after DreamWorks left the side of Paramount, and tried to go its separate way once again.

There are still 33 projects DreamWorks has in development though with Paramount that will likely continue onward.

DreamWorks has received financial support of $550 million from Reliance Big Entertainment in India as well.

Others who were reportedly in talks with DreamWorks included Fox, as well as Disney.
