Booker Prize Awarded To Indian Author Aravind Adiga

The 2008 Booker Prize has been awarded to Indian author Aravind Adiga for his first novel, The White Tiger........Boston (ChattahBox) – The 2008 Booker Prize has been awarded to Indian author Aravind Adiga for his first novel, The White Tiger.

The 33-year old Adiga got his education from Oxford, and managed to top five other authors who were going for the award.

He will receive a $87,000 prize to go along with the highly-prestigious award.

On top of that, The White Tiger is now certainly going to be read by far more people than it was in the past.

He was one of two Indian writers nominated for the award along with Amitav Ghosh for Sea of Poppies.
