Britney Spears can put another bit of her troubled past behind her as her misdemeanor trial for driving without a license has been dismissed.........Washington (ChattahBox) – Britney Spears can put another bit of her troubled past behind her as her misdemeanor trial for driving without a license has been dismissed.

It was declared a mistrial by Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge James A. Steel after the jury could not come to a unanimous decision.

The jury was in a deadlock, as a fourth vote came in at 10-2 in favor of Spears being innocent.

A unanimous verdict was needed either way to help decide the case.

It took under 10 days for the traffic trial to begin, and then quickly come to an end.

The trial was linked to an incident back in August 2007 when she was in a fender bender.

She carried only her Louisiana driver’s license, which was reportedly legal according to the defense since she was a resident of that state.
