Game Party 2 is a fun new set of games for the whole family to play which does take advantage of the great controls and technology in place with the Wii system.  The set includes 11 games which can be played solo or in a group.

The game itself is what you would expect in terms of quality of the audio and visuals.  The focus of this game was more on leveraging the technology rather than making the game realistic, and rightfully so.  The visuals are fun and nothing more, the audio is just filler.

The games available to be played on this game are Puck Bowling, Lawn Darts, Quarterback Challenge, Horseshoes, Beanbags, Trivia, Darts, Skill Ball, Hoop Shoot, Ping Cup and Shuffle Board.  As has been experienced with a number of games similar to this the gameplay is a bit tough and can be awkward.  Could be the motion sensor does not pick up correctly, could be the game does not play as the designers had intended, either way the end product is more frustrating than enjoyable.  This is the case for a few of the games on this set, but not all.  The better games are the Ping Cup, maybe more recognizable as Beer Pong, minus the alcohol.  The Skill Ball, also known as Skee Ball is a lot of fun and does seem to work as intended, as is Shuffleboard and QB Challenge.  The Hoop Shoot is a great game to challenge another player with.  From time to time though the controls do get in the way.

An example of the downside of this game is lawn darts which the system seems to always want to throw the dart into the neighbors yard…not what was intended I am sure.  Overall though this game is just what the title says, a great party game.
