Body of woman found in front of Paula Abdul’s house was an obsessed fan

November 12, 2008

Hollywood (Chattahbox) — The body of a woman found last night in a parked car just a few yards from Paula Abdul’s house in Sherman Oaks, CA turns out to be an obsessed fan of the American Idol judge. Police believe that the woman Paula Goodspeed, might have been stalking Paula Abdul for a while now. In fact Goodspeed, who died of a possible drug overdose/suicide last night, overdosed in the exact same area around one year ago.

Goodspeed, actually appeared on Season 5 of American Idol in 2006. During her audition she said she’s an artist and the first picture she ever drew was of Paula Abdul. “Idol” produced a 3 minute and 40 second featurette on Goodspeed and her passion for Paula. She did not make the cut, after Ryan Seacrest proclaimed, “And the love affair is over.” Apparently the obsession just kept getting worse from there as her car has “ABL LV” (Abdul Love or Lover) on her license plate and has pictures of Paula hanging from her rear view mirror. Police sources told TMZ that they’ve been called out to Paula’s house a few times to deal with the stalker. The cops also got a call from the Goodspeed’s parents yesterday afternoon. They reported their daughter missing and said she might be at Paula Abdul’s house. Paula was not at home last night, because she was off filming “American Idol.”
