Dog the Bounty Hunter Chapman shot at by murder suspect

April 22, 2009

(ChattahBox) — Duane Chapman and fellow bounty hunter Bobby Brown were trying to take a bite out of crime, by apprehending a murder suspect in Colorado Springs, Colorado Tuesday.

Denver’s Channel 7 News reports the Dog and Bobby were shot at while trying to arrest Hoang Nguyen who was already wanted for second-degree murder.

The pair were engaged in their lawful task of trying to capture Nguyen, 35, in a crowded apartment complex at around 7.15pm last night when the fugitive shot at them with a handgun. Dog and the Bondsman returned fire with, of all things, paintball guns. During the scrimmage the suspect managed to flee on a motorcycle, but true to his breed the Dog stayed the course and took Nguyen into custody six hours later at around 1.30am.

Known around the world for his hugely successful A&E series, Dog had his film crew with him throughout the drama, but they were unable to record the actual shoot-out. They did, however, capture the inevitable arrest, so that should make for some interesting viewing.
