‘Family Guy’ Episode Reportedly Banned By FOX

July 27, 2009

US (ChattahBox) – ‘Family Guy’ is in the headlines once again after an episode with an unspecified abortion topic was kept from airing by FOX.

“20th Century Fox, as always, allowed us to produce the episode and then said, ‘You know what? We’re scared to f**king death of this,'” Seth McFarlane, the series creator, said at Comic-Con during a panel discussion.

No one but the creators and FOX censors know what the episode actually contains, but given the history of the show we can assume that it would happily stretch the confines of taste. ‘Family Guy’ is well known for pushing envelope, after all.

This is the second episode to be banned from the air, with ‘When You Wish Upon A Weinstein’ proceeding it. The network later released the episode, though there is no guarantee that will happen with the latest.

FOX says that no decision has been officially made, and certainly fans of the show hope they will get the chance to see the episode someday, but for now the best chance is as a DVD release.
