“Our Little Genius” Suddenly Yanked By FOX

January 8, 2010

(ChattahBox) – Just days before its release, the new game show “Our Little Genius” has been pulled by FOX over issues of integrity.

According to creator Mark Burnett, creator of  “Are You Smarter Than A Fifth Grader,” there was some question as to where the young contestants were getting their information and answers.

“As a result, I am not comfortable delivering the episodes without re-shooting them. I believe my series must always be beyond reproach, so I have requested that Fox not air these episodes,” Burnett was quoted by Variety.

This is not the first controversy to hit the new quiz show.

The premise of “Out Little Genius” is to take children between the ages of six to twelve and allow them to compete with their general knowledge on a topic for shocking sums of money.

Early tapings of the show had the young contestants taking the process hard, having a great deal of trouble coping with stress and losses. Some endings even had to be refilmed by producers to cover these scenes.

It has raised the question of how much is too much for such young children, and whether or not it is wise to have them working towards willing hundreds of thousands of dollars.

LOL how hilarious! Fox is concerned about integrity on a game show, but continues to produce the most blatant propaganda for the ultra-right-wing.and call it news, and is the only “news” network that has ever won a lawsuit that permits them to tell outright lies and call them “news.”
