CNN’s New Parker Spitzer, Spitzer Parker Whatever (Video)

September 8, 2010

(ChattahBox Entertainment News)—CNN’s much-hyped show taking over Campbell Brown’s former 8 p.m. time slot, featuring Eliot Spitzer, disgraced former governor of New York, brought down by a taste for hookers and Kathleen Parker, conservative columnist for the Washington Post, now has a start date, a name and a cringe-inducing, throw up in your mouth sort of promo. The name? The very original Parker Spitzer, although according to the forced cheerfulness of the promo, Spitzer Parker was also considered.

Parker Spitzer premiers on October 4. And if the promo is any indication of the format, the liberal Spitzer and conservative Parker will play off each other, like a poor man’s version of David and Maddie from the 80s sitcom “Moonlighting.”

Parker, a Pulitzer prize winner, was apparently chosen because she’s not a right-wing lunatic, prone to making the now, de rigueur references to Nazis.

Parker also made headlines, as one of the first conservatives to not be enamored with Sarah Palin’s ignorant folksiness.

Anyways, Parker Spitzer is worth, at least, a look see, maybe. You decide.

I just saw a small portion of the dialog that may take place on the program and I was not very impressed. Eliot Spitzer is an idiot! And Parker didn’t say a thing. Come on CNN you can do better than this!
