This sites rates hospitals around the U.S., giving patients the ability to make smart choices about their health care.

The site works by giving hospitals report cards basically, and then gives patients the power to see all of these report cards and compare hospitals, to allow them to make the best decision possible.

Ratings focus on things such as treatment of heart attacks, quality of care, and other common ailments.

The idea behind it is to give patients the power of knowledge before they go in for any type of treatment in a hospital in the U.S.

The other goal of the site is to try and inform hospitals as to areas where they need some improvement. Hospitals can go on and look at these report cards, comparing themselves to competing hospitals, and hopefully up their level of care to meet their patients’ needs.
