Hong Kong has ordered that all chickens, around 3,500, in markets be slaughtered.

This is on top of the 2,700 poultry that were slaughtered after the bird flu was detected last Saturday.

There is no confirmation as of yet as to whether or not the bird flu source was local or if it came from mainland China.

Hong Kong is not taking any chances though as officials are getting very active in how they deal with the bird flu.
