CDC Increases Cases Of Salmonella Tomatoes To 228

The U.S. Centers for DIsease Control and Prevention has increased the number of people who have been sickened by the tomatoes tainted by salmonella to 228.Washington (ChattahBox) -The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has increased the number of people who have been sickened by the tomatoes tainted by salmonella to 228.

Six new states have been added to the list as well bringing the total to 23 states in the U.S.

The new states include Florida, Georgia, Missouri, New York, Tennessee, and Vermont.

The CDC confirmed 61 brand new cases caused by salmonella tomatoes as of Thursday.

The FDA continues with the warning that all need to avoid raw red round, red plum, and red Roma tomatoes.

There has yet to be any deaths linked to the outbreak.
