June 13, 2008

A new report released by Families USA has stated that consumers who need to buy health insurance have virtually no protection from states in the U.S.Washington (ChattahBox) – A new report released by Families USA has stated that consumers who need to buy health insurance have virtually no protection from states in the U.S.

A survey was carried out to see which states actually help people with health insurance companies.

They found many states do nothing to help those who have been denied coverage, have their coverage plan canceled, etc.

In many states, consumers have no way to appeal a decision by a health insurance company to cancel their policy after they get sick.

Families USA is pushing for federal and state regulations to change in this manner.
