Study Shows The Better You Sleep, The Better You Age

A new s tudy has been carried out by researchers from the University of California which shows that the more often you get a good night's sleep, the better you will age through life.New York (ChattahBox) – A new s tudy has been carried out by researchers from the University of California which shows that the more often you get a good night’s sleep, the better you will age through life.

The study followed sleeping patterns of 2,226 men and women over the course of 60 years.

They found that 20.8% of all of those involved in the study were both good sleepers and good agers, linking the two and showing that they go hand in hand.

The study was led by Sonia Ancoli-Israel, who stated that it is very important to get a good night’s sleep if you want to age well.

A lack of sleep not only causes problems with how you age, but is also linked to depression, memory problems, etc.

The study was presented on Wednesday at SLEEP 2008, the 22nd Annual Meeting of the Associated Professional Sleep Societies.
