FDA Looking At Florida, Mexico As Source Of Salmonella Tomatoes

According to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, it is looking more and more likely that the source of the tainted tomatoes which have caused many to become sick from salmonella may be in Florida and Mexico..New York (ChattahBox) – According to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, it is looking more and more likely that the source of the tainted tomatoes which have caused many to become sick from salmonella may be in Florida and Mexico.

The latest reports state that most of the tomatoes tainted with salmonella have come from Florida as well as Mexico.

As of this point, the FDA has released a safe list which includes northern Florida, New York, Canada, Georgia, Dominican Republic, Guatemala, and California.

The FDA is stressing that they are still looking outside of both Florida and Mexico for the source, as nothing has been confirmed.

In total, the number infected with the salmonella virus continues to rise and is now at 228 cases, across 23 states.

No deaths have been reported as of yet.

    They should save the tax money and stop looking in Florida… they’re from Mexico.

    I live in Mexico. The English weekly “The News” from Mexico City states that only EIGHT people have died from tainted tomates in Mexico. THERE IS NO EPIDEMIC HERE!! The cases were scattered around Mexico, in no particular location. Stop blaming Mexico!
    Remember the Killer Spinach last year? This imported spinach from the US had to be pulled from Mexican stores. BTW, the produce here is so much more delicious than in the US! What is the crap people are eating up there?
