According to recently released documents, an experimental psoriasis drug from Johnson & Johnson, ustekinumab, may increase the risk of cancer..Boston (ChattahBox) – According to recently released documents, an experimental psoriasis drug from Johnson & Johnson may increase the risk of cancer.

As of right now, the increased risk of developing cancer has only been seen in animal studies.

The company to this point stated they will monitor the safety of the drug, as they have stressed that the increased cancer risk is simply a theory.

The drug is used to treat psoriasis, a skin disorder which harms over 7 million Americans each year.

The documents have recommended that the FDA add a warning to the J&J drug.
