Tim Russert Faced Increased Heart Attack Risks

Tim Russert, from NBC's Meet the Press, died at the age of 58 a few days ago from a heart attack.  His death has put under the microscope once again the increased heart attack risks he faced..Washington (ChattahBox) – Tim Russert, from NBC’s Meet the Press, died at the age of 58 a few days ago from a heart attack. His death has put under the microscope once again the increased heart attack risks he faced.

One of the major factors which could have contributed to his untimely and tragic death include his job, which was said to be extremely stressful.

Stress is known to contribute to high blood pressure, and can lead to an increased heart attack risk.

Other factors include age, gender, drugs, a healthy diet, exercise, diabetes, and more.

These factors are known to be linked to an increased risk of heart attack.

NBC stated that the autopsy for Russert discovered an enlarged heart. He was also taking medication for the treatment of asymptomatic coronary artery disease.

An hour-long tribute was held for Russert on Meet the Press Sunday.
