The Kansas Department of Health has reported 8 cases of salmonella linked to the nationwide outbreak with tainted tomatoes..New York (ChattahBox) – The Kansas Department of Health has reported 8 cases of salmonella linked to the nationwide outbreak with tainted tomatoes.

The CDC announced just a few days ago that the number of people infected now stands at 277 across 28 states in the U.S.

The salmonella outbreak has hit raw red plum, red roma, and round red tomatoes. Kansas, along with Missouri and Oklahoma have come out and confirmed cases of salmonella tomatoes.

The FDA continues their investigation into the salmonella outbreak.

They currently have their focus on both Florida and Mexico as a possibile source.

This is the first time Kansas has come out and confirmed the 8 cases.
